Hey! I'm Hannah, founder of Trunorth Creative.

After a solid year and a half of struggling in my affiliate marketing business, I finally figured out why I wasn't seeing the results I wanted: I was totally out of alignment. You see, I was sold on this outcome of working for myself, choosing how to spend my time and having the freedom to travel & explore. Mostly, I just wanted to be able to stay home, work in sweatpants and make enough to pay off my damn student loans.

Let's rewind for a quick moment, shall we? Before I was aware of this lucrative "digital economy", I was working as a Forest Technician and approaching the final years of my B.Sc. in Forest Ecology. I had spent a couple really amazing years in college and received my diploma in Renewable Resource Management, and figured that continuing onto a higher level of education was probably the next thing "to do".

To make a long story short, I dropped out halfway through my fourth year. I still had another year to go thanks to a deceptive transfer agreement (I had SO many credits, yet so many requirements left to fill) - I was burnt out and quite frankly, didn't want to be there. And as much as I loved what I was studying, it didn't feel worth it. You know that phrase, "if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life?" That's what I was going for. And I for sure had those days, but the lifestyle I wanted and the one I was living just weren't matching up. As cheesy as it sounds, I wanted more and I knew deep down I was capable of it.

So I went back to serving, which felt like a huge step back but gave me enough income and flexibility to continue working on my business. I'd have a little bit of success, then lose momentum or self-sabotage but I kept going. My partner probably thought I was nuts, but I dropped out of school to pursue this so I wasn't about to give up. And finally, in the fall of 2019 I had an epiphany of sorts... this quote showed up for me 👇

"No amount of hustle or struggle will ever compensate for a lack of alignment." *

Ho-ly. Shit. I wasn't getting anywhere with this because I didn't really believe in the system I was selling! The product, yes, but what I was being taught did not feel authentic to me. I had to do my own thing - and that's what this was really about in the beginning anyways! And that's where Trunorth was born.

*Thanks James Wedmore.

This business has evolved a lot since it's inception. Due to a global pandemic and a huge demand for digital education products, I kind of fell into the course-building niche at the perfect time. It's given me the opportunity to work with all kinds of incredible people across the globe. I get to do something different every day, and I get to help people bring their passion project from an idea into reality. That's the best part.

I have no formal background in Marketing, Design or Programming. I had no flippin' idea what a funnel was two years ago, and if you told me I would be working online full-time in my sweatpants, building courses and funnels and landing pages, I'm sure I would have laughed in your face. I say this because I know that it can be terrifying to ditch your plans, go against the grain or try something totally out of your comfort zone. Even the most seemingly confident of us still create stories in our minds as to why we can't or shouldn't.

My message to you: The world needs to hear what you have to say. It needs leaders and people who are willing to think differently & take risks. There are people out there who are going to benefit so massively from your ideas, teachings or experience. You don't need permission - but if you need support & guidance, that's what I'm here for.

Thanks for stopping by & taking the time to read my story.

And if you came for the fun facts: I love wine, music and all things nature - birds and trees, especially. I live in beautiful Kelowna, BC with my partner - a bearded, tattooed "cool" nerd who helps me build our Kajabi Templates. We've been together for 5 years and met working at a pizza shop. My favourite place is Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, and my ultimate goal is to own a large, secluded property where I can live sustainably and grow my own food. I believe that mindset & inner work is the most valuable thing I've gained from my entrepreneurship journey ... and that journey is never finished! 😉
