About Hannah
Meet Hannah, the Program Director and CEO of Trunorth.
I grew up in the small Kootenay town of Creston, British Columbia. After graduating high school in 2010, I had lots of potential but really lacked any direction as to what I wanted to do with my life. I think I just wanted to live it a bit first.
I moved to Calgary, AB and worked in the hospitality industry for the next couple of years. I had plenty of fun and made decent money serving & bartending, but spent it as fast as it came in. But eventually, I saved up enough to go on a 2 month backpacking trip to Thailand and Cambodia. It was a life-changing experience and my first taste of true freedom and self-discovery.
My passion for the environment is what drove me to go back to school for Renewable Resource Management the following year. I loved college and landed some awesome summer jobs. But due to the seasonal & highly competitive job market, I decided to transfer to the University of Northern British Columbia to pursue a degree in Forest Ecology & Management.
Turns out, forestry wasn’t for me and neither was Uni Life. After a full year and one semester, I was burnt out and over it. There were plenty of things I liked about working as a forest tech, but I just couldn’t see myself doing it for the foreseeable future. I wanted a career that would give me an above-average life of freedom and purpose. And the ability to pay off all these freakin' student loans.
That’s when I found Digital Marketing! What I love about this industry is that anybody with the desire to learn and put themselves out there can create their own success. It requires you to really tap into your full potential and has been the key to unlocking personal freedom in my life. I’m very grateful to be a part of something much bigger than myself and to lead like-minded people to a life of freedom & purpose.
